Let’s keep the momentum going at PPE as we head into May and finish strong! 💪❤️💙 Next week, our 5th graders kick off LEAP testing! Please help us set them up for success by making sure they arrive to school by 8:10, get a good night’s sleep, and eat breakfast (either at home or arrive by 8:05 to eat at school). Encouragement from home goes a long way! Please remind them to take their time and do their very best each day! After our final week of LEAP testing, we’re excited to shift into a season of celebration. Teacher Appreciation Week, field day (May 15th, K-2: 9am-11am, 3-5: 12pm-2pm), and end-of-year awards, and graduations! 🎉 We are crushing our attendance goals, and we are so thankful for your partnership in helping us keep the momentum going through May 19th. 🏁 LEAP TESTING STARTS THIS WEEK! 🏁 Our 3rd & 4th grade Ponies are ready! 🐴❤️ We kicked things off with an amazing pep rally on Friday, and the energy is HIGH! 🔥 Huge thank you to Airline High School athletics for coming out and pouring into our students: 🏈 Justin Scogin – Football 🥎 Katie Smith – Softball ⚾ Toby Todd – Baseball 👏 A big shoutout to our PPE Cheerleaders (coaches Mrs. Brun & Mrs. Hendrick) and our PPE Tumblers (Coach Falting & Coach Brown) for their incredible performances—you helped bring the spirit and excitement! ❤️💙 Now it’s time to shine! ✨ Help your child be ready each day: ✔️ Get a good night’s sleep ✔️ Eat breakfast (or arrive by 8:05 for school breakfast) ✔️ Be at school before 8:10 ✔️ Take your time & do your BEST 💙 We believe in our Ponies… and we KNOW they are going to do great things! Help us celebrate our PPE secretaries today! Mrs. Bamburg and Mrs. Woodward are truly the heart of our school. They keep everything running smoothly each and every day. From helping students and families to supporting our staff in countless ways, they go above and beyond, and we are so grateful for all they do for PPE! Help us show some love to these incredible ladies today! 💙❤️

Upcoming 4th and 5th graders, if you are interested in your child participating in PPE cheer, please join the cheer coaches tomorrow (Thursday, 4/23) for an informational meeting at 4:30pm.

ATTENTION 5th Grade Students: Lady Mustangs Volleyball try outs are scheduled for THIS Thursday after school. Athletes must dress out in athletic attire and athletic shoes. You can sign up online using the QR code on the flyer or a parent can fill a permission slip out BEFORE dropping you off. Volleyball shoes and knee pads are not a requirement for try outs.
Time is 4pm-5pm. Parents cannot stay and watch. Rides must pick up at 5pm.

PPE picnic at the park tomorrow! Please remember to arrive on time for your child's lunchtime. Their teacher will stop in the breezeway a few minutes before their scheduled time for you to grab your child. We will announce on the speaker when your child's teacher is lining up to go back to class. You may bring outside food since you will be outside. We will not be able to grab students from other grade levels. We can't wait to see everyone!! 💙❤️

PPE: Bossier Parish Sheriff's, and Keep Bossier Beautiful's Operation Clean Sweep was a success! We had students show up and work hard! We picked up trash, weeded the front flower beds, picked up branches, sorted supplies, and helped teachers in their classrooms! A huge thank you to Mrs. Trammell for organizing this for us, and for the students who showed up!
