This year, we’re continuing our Power of Presence initiative because every student matters, and every moment counts. Did you know? 📌 Chronic Absenteeism means a student misses 10% or more of the school days they are enrolled—that’s about 2 days per month. All absences count, including excused absences, unexcused absences, suspensions, and expulsions. 📌 Truancy occurs when a student has 5 unexcused absences or 5 unexcused tardies in a semester. 📖🐴 PPE Summer Learning Challenge – Week 4: Storytelling Week! 🐴This week’s challenge is to tell a story together! You don’t have to buy anything or go anywhere, just use your imagination! Try one of these fun ideas: 📚 Read a favorite book and retell the story. 🧸 Let stuffed animals tell a story. 🎭 Act out your favorite fairy tale. 🎨 Make up a silly story using pictures in a magazine or around your house. 👨‍👩‍👧 Tell a family story about something fun you’ve done together. As you tell your story, ask: ⭐ What happened first? ⭐ What happened next? ⭐ How did the story end? Talking and telling stories helps children become stronger readers, writers, and speakers! 📸 Don’t forget to go back and post your pictures for Weeks 1, 2, and 3 in the comments, too!
