Mission Statement

Our Vision

Plantation Park Elementary is an exemplary neighborhood school that promotes academic excellence, serves the community, and empowers students to discover their strengths.

Beliefs

  • Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.
  • all students can learn, and learning is the primary focus of our school.
  • A safe and physically comfortable environment promotes student learning.
  • Teachers, administrators, parents, and the community share the responsibility for advancing the school's mission.
  • Students need not only to demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills, but also need to be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work.
  • Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches, special services, resources, and opportunities to support their learning, and provide them with appropriate encouragement for success.
  • Challenging expectations increase individual student performance, and students learn best when actively involved.
  • A technology-integrated curriculum will further prepare students for the working world of tomorrow.

Pony Pride Pledge

Every morning, the students of Plantation Park start the day with a special pledge!  Immediately following The Pledge of Allegiance, the students pledge to do their best throughout the school day.  This is the pledge we recite:

I believe in myself, and my ability to do my best at all times.  I will act in such a way, that I will be proud of myself, and others will be proud of me too.  I will NOT waste this day, because this day will not come again!

This pledge is a special reminder to the children that they should Expect the Best from themselves.  What a special way to show Pony Pride!!!!!
